Double-skin Acrylic sheets
Today, an attractive and meaningful facade have been given particular attention among both architects and their clients. In this case, the facade actually consists of a row of vertical louvers made of double-skin Acrylic sheets that are mounted perpendicularly in a parametric arrangement in South and North faces that depicts a double helix of two complementary strands which shadow the geometry of DNA molecule and gives the relevant conceptual sense of the building’s function, although the pattern had not been planned explicitly.

The lobby space of Milad Tower
Keeping the interior cool in the summer and warm in the winter
The West and East facade of the building are also covered with 15mm double-skin Acrylic panels using frameless structure. Thanks to the translucency of the double-skin Acrylic, the louvered straps flood each room with filtered natural light while providing privacy for the patients and hospital care team members. Nearly 1900 square meters of Acrylic have been used in the whole facade that took about two months to be fabricated and installed. What is more, the double-skin Acrylic panels reduce solar gain, keeping the interior cool in the summer and warm in the colder months of the year. Also, in nights, the facade glows on the outside from ambient light within the inside in company with the spot light sources on the slab beam levels that offers an eye-catching outlook to the building.
